Did Sabrina Carpenter Just Shade Barry Keoghan With Her Deluxe Album Cover?
It looks like Sabrina Carpenter might not be keeping Barry Keoghan in her Good Graces after all. 👀
Fresh off her second Grammy win for Best Pop Vocal Album, Sabrina hit Instagram on Feb. 4 with a huge announcement—she’s dropping a deluxe version of Short n’ Sweet! “As a thank you for giving this album 2 Grammy’s :’) short n’ sweet deluxe is now available for pre-order.. and yes that does say featuring Miss Dolly Parton…. 💋💋💋 she wouldn’t want me to swear but holy s**t!!!!!” she captioned the post. Iconic behavior.
But let’s talk about what really sent fans spiraling—the tracklist. In the post, there’s a shot of the deluxe edition’s songs, and one title looks suspiciously scribbled out. Fans zoomed in and swear it originally said “Barry.” Yep, as in Barry Keoghan. But now? The song has been renamed “Bad Reviews.” Not subtle at all.
To make things even shadier, another track, “Bed Chem”, also appears to be scratched out and rewritten. And if you’ve been paying attention, you know “Bed Chem” was rumored to be about Barry—specifically, his accent and blue eyes. Sooo, what’s the truth? 👀
In case you forgot, news broke in December 2024 that Sabrina and Barry had split after about a year of dating. A source told PEOPLE, “They are both young and career-focused, so they’ve decided to take a break.” But between Barry deleting his IG and this deluxe edition rollout, fans think there’s more to the story.
Naturally, the internet lost its mind. Under Sabrina’s post, one fan wrote, “Please tell me that’s Barry’s name scratched out at the bottom.” Meanwhile, TikTok and X (Twitter) went feral over the possible shade.
At the end of the day, we won’t really know what’s going on until the deluxe album drops on Valentine’s Day (which is honestly so poetic). But one thing’s for sure—I’ll be pausing all my plans to find out. 💅
